At Marrow we take the security of the content on our\u00a0platform very seriously.\u00a0Our most important goal is to deliver a\u00a0world-class product\u00a0experience to all our users, while\u00a0protecting the integrity and hard work of all our contributing teachers.<\/p>\n

Marrow security standards<\/h4>\n

We\u00a0have instituted several security measures such as Digital Rights Management, Google SafetyNet (which also prevents rooted devices) and allowing Android version above\u00a0v4.4.\u00a0These international standard safety protocols\u00a0allow videos to be accessed securely, greatly reduces chances of videos being pirated, and can also prevent your device from being hacked or compromised.<\/p>\n

Some\u00a0device manufacturers are yet to support these advanced security features for\u00a0some phone models. This is a third party issue beyond our scope of engineering effort and we have intimated device makers to support these global standard safety features.<\/p>\n

Devices\u00a0that do not pass\u00a0security checks<\/h4>\n

We have seen these devices frequently failing security checks:<\/p>\n

  1. Lenovo K3 Note<\/li>\n
  2. Lenovo K5 Note<\/li>\n
  3. Xiaomi Redmi 4a<\/li>\n
  4. Other Redmi models<\/li>\n
  5. Asus ZenFone<\/li>\n
  6. Lava phones<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    This list not exhaustive and changes on a daily basis, as phone manufacturers update phone software versions and safety protocols keep getting improved. The list is also\u00a0device specific – meaning some phones of the above models can support Marrow content, while others cannot.<\/p>\n

    Devices that pass security checks<\/h4>\n

    While we cannot provide a foolproof list, we have seen Marrow working seamlessly on\u00a0most\u00a0devices from these manufacturers:<\/p>\n

    2. Samsung<\/li>\n
    3. OnePlus<\/li>\n
    4. Google Pixel<\/li>\n
    5. Apple<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      What you can do<\/h4>\n

      We suggest you try using Marrow in multiple devices and see if videos run. In case you have already subscribed to a Marrow video plan before 3rd Feb 2018 and are affected, we are happy to discuss an amicable solution.
